The owners of the ex Midland Red, BMMO S23, 5919 will be providing a connecting bus service to Buses Festival event at Gaydon, Warwickshire, on Sunday 18th August 2019. The pick up points and times are as follows:

Gravel Street (St. Margaret’s Bus Station) 07:45 am

Hinckley Rd (outbound),Mostyn Street 07:55 am

Narborough Road South (opposite Sturgess car showroom) 08:00 am

Narborough (Council offices) 08.10 am

Travel is free but there is a £14.50 entrance charge for BUSES Festival, Gaydon.

The Leicester Transport Heritage Trust will also be attending the event and the ex Midland Red, BMMO S22, 5905 will depart from the Stoneygate Tram Depot on London Rd and will depart at 07:30 am. Travel is free but a entry fee applies at the event.

Free bus rides will be running throughout the day over local scenic routes on a range of modern and preservation vehicles in attendance. To complement the event, a number of indoor and outdoor traders will be selling a variety of bus related items including books, DVDs, models and more! The British Motor Museum offers excellent entertainment in its own right and entry to the museum is included in the ticket price. Home to the world’s largest collection of historic British Cars; it boasts nearly 300 cars in its collection which span the classic, vintage and veteran eras. In addition, it has first class catering facilities, toilets including disabled facilities, a gift shop and ample free parking.
