Leyland PD3A/1 GRY 63D has made a surprising return to the county. Withdrawn from service by Leicester City Transport in November 1980, it’s a bus which little is know of it’s life after LCT. We did know at some point the PD3 had been converted into a open topper and in late 2017 it was being advertised for sale in the Antwerp region of Belgium. It’s pleasing to report GRY 63D has now been purchased by 31 COFFEE a independent family run coffee shop located in South Wigston, Leicester. The Park Royal bodied Leyland is now providing a novel extra customer seating area alongside the main coffee shop which based at 31 Saffron Rd, LE18 4TD.
